Luciana Zeni

Luciana has a Bachelor Degree (Honours) in Psychology. She is post-graduated in Analytical Psychology and in Psycho-oncology, and holds a Master’s degree in Science (palliative care and psycho-oncology). Luciana is registered as a psychologist in Australia (AHPRA) and a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).

Luciana has extensive experience in helping adults experiencing emotional difficulties, anxiety and mood disorders, adjustment issues to life transitions (immigration, grief and loss, chronic illness), relationship problems, low self-esteem, anger management issues, addiction, and trauma.

Luciana understands that each patient requires a different treatment strategy and integrates diverse approaches on her practice, such as elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy).

 

 

Luciana has experience as a supervisor, and has worked as a university lecturer and mentor of post-graduation students in Psycho-oncology.

Luciana is co-author of the book “Discussing Psycho-oncology” (Costa, Nakamoto & Zeni, Lemar, 2009). She has written several papers and presented at many conferences internationally. Luciana is an understanding and supportive therapist who works from our Mona Vale office.
