BRACCAMind is a non-profit program developed and run by BRACCA volunteers with the support and partnership of Bilibio Psychology Clinic (BPsych Clinic). The program offers psychological assistance to the Portuguese-speaking community (Portuguese, Brazilians, East Timorese, Angolans, Cape Verdeans, Mozambicans, Macanese, Goans and others) in Australia.
BRACCAMind was developed due to the high demand from people of various backgrounds suffering from some degree of emotional distress. The program gained strength due to significant events affecting community members such as: abuse and domestic violence, anxiety, depression, and suicide. With a focus on young immigrants and international students living in Australia, BRACCAMind and BPsych Clinic united forces aiming to raise awareness of mental health issues, reduce stigma, and improve the mental health of our community.
