Christine Honor
Psychologist

Location: Caringbah Telehealth - Video Consultation

I am a skilled and experienced psychologist, who aims to provide an empathic, non-judgmental and care-full space for you on your therapeutic journey. Informed by many years of rich experience in the health, wellbeing, education and disability sectors; I offer a person- centred, relational and psychodynamic approach in my work with children, adolescents, and adults. I have a special interest and experience working with individuals who may have been impacted by trauma of various kinds such as single incident, complex, developmental or intergenerational trauma. One of my highest values is be present and attentive to you, with whatever is emerging or happening in your life in a compassionate and understanding way.

Seeing a psychologist does not have to be for a major problem either. You may want a safe and confidential space to explore or make meaning of something; to self-reflect and/ or navigate an aspect of personal growth and development. Or you may have a difficult decision to make and would value someone skilled in facilitating this with you. Within this more depth psychology approach, which honour’s the unconscious process, its unrepresented or implicit representations and/or symbolic images, as well as the sometimes spiritual or cultural aspects of an individual’s experience; I work with an awareness of the intersection of the psyche/mind, brain and body that is involved in the process of transformational healing.

Couple Therapy

My work with couples aims to provide a neutral, respectful and non- judgmental environment, where we can explore and understand together about your concerns and desires for your relationship and how best to approach them. Coming from the perspective that each individual is on their own journey within the couple relationship, which can inform what might be going on and what opportunities may be available to transform old patterns or painful ways of relating, into more intimate, connected and meaningful interactions.

I believe this approach allows both of the individuals in the relationship to feel better understood, supported and connected between themselves and each other. Whether you decide to remain as couples or separate respectfully.

I see both individuals and couples for professional consultation from private and comfortable rooms in Caringbah, or online via Telehealth, using the Zoom platform.
