Claudia Ferreira
Psychologist

Location: Mona Vale

Claudia’s journey to becoming a psychologist has been shaped by a diverse professional background in Law and Education, and a deep belief in people’s capacity for growth and change. Drawn to psychology by its potential to create meaningful and lasting positive change for individuals, families and communities, she embarked on her studies while raising her first child.
Balancing family life with nearly a decade of university study, placements and internships, and welcoming a second child along the way, Claudia became a Registered Psychologist in 2021. Her own experiences have given her a deep appreciation for resilience, lifelong learning and the many complexities people navigate throughout their lives.

Since entering clinical practice, Claudia has developed a special interest in trauma, complex presentations and helping clients heal from experiences that continue to impact their wellbeing. She is known for combining warmth, authenticity and compassion with evidence-based practice and high professional standards. Committed to continual learning, Claudia actively pursues ongoing professional development to ensure her clients receive the highest quality care.

Beyond her clinical work, Claudia is passionate about contributing to the broader mental health community. She provides supervision and support to fellow psychologists and emerging mental health professionals, and regularly delivers presentations and workshops for organisations, community groups and the public on topics related to mental health and wellbeing.

Outside of work, Claudia enjoys spending time with her family, being by the ocean, exploring the arts, learning something new and sharing a good laugh. When she’s not in the therapy room, you’ll often find her seeking adventure through hiking or scuba diving. A phrase that captures both her approach to life and her work is: “a soft front, a strong back, and a wild heart.”
