Clinical Psychologist

Location: Mona Vale Telehealth - Video Consultation

Giovanna is a client-centred Clinical Psychologist who works collaboratively with clients to create meaningful, lasting change. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique story. She tailors therapy to the individual, drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches to support their needs, goals, and values. Giovanna believes therapy is not only about easing symptoms, but also about helping clients build a life that feels purposeful, connected, and true to who they are.

She has extensive experience supporting adolescents and adults through a wide range of psychological and emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, difficulties with emotional regulation, the impacts of ADHD, experiences of trauma, and relationship or family concerns. She also supports people navigating significant life transitions, such as adolescence into adulthood, becoming a parent, marriage or separation, retirement, or coming to terms with a new diagnosis.

Giovanna has a strong interest and specialised experience in supporting ADHD. She helps individuals better understand how ADHD presents in their lives and guides them in navigating the challenges it can bring. Equally, she works with clients to recognise and harness the strengths often associated with ADHD. She also supports family members seeking to better understand ADHD and foster stronger, more connected relationships with their loved ones.

She finds great meaning in supporting parents, offering a reflective, non-judgemental space to explore how past experiences can shape parenting styles, and how parents can be present, validating, and attuned to their children’s emotional needs, regardless of the child’s age. Giovanna is committed to helping parents create emotionally nurturing and secure environments where their children can thrive.

Passionate about trauma-informed care, Giovanna finds it deeply rewarding to assist clients in their healing journey, helping them reclaim their lives from the impacts of trauma and move toward a future defined not by their wounds, but by who they are and who they want to become. Her trauma work is grounded in empathy, compassion, safety, and the belief that healing is possible.

Giovanna holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and has formal training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). She combines strong clinical foundations with genuine curiosity and empathy.

Whether you are seeking support for a specific challenge or hoping to create a more fulfilling future, Giovanna offers a safe, collaborative space to explore, heal, and grow.
