Leroy Wiseman

Leroy is a registered psychotherapist, informed by six years of experience working with groups and individuals in the mental health and wellbeing sector.

Consistent with evidence-based practice, Leroy emphasises co-creating a warm, authentic, and psychologically safe therapeutic relationship as the foundation for positive change.

He offers an integrative humanistic psychotherapy grounded in Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) which is relational, experiential, person-centred, and trauma-informed.

Leroy works with adults, adolescents, and children.

Leroy has significant experience working with youth and young adults, having co-founded the suicide prevention peer support program ‘Open Up’ in 2017 alongside northern beaches based charity One Eighty Inc.

Leroy is a certified practicing member of PACFA, and is finalising his Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling. He also holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Philosophy and Anthropology.

Leroy welcomes the opportunity to share the power of mindfulness practice with clients who request it, having experienced the profound degree of psychological freedom it affords directly. He has been a practitioner since 2015, and completed six 10-day silent meditation courses.
