Leroy Wiseman

Location: Mona Vale Telehealth - Video Consultation

Informed by five years of experience working with groups and individuals, Leroy is an experienced mental health group facilitator and provisional psychotherapist. He is completing a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling and studied Anthropology and Philosophy during his Bachelor of Social Science. Leroy adopts a Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Mindfulness-Informed approach to working with clients, placing a high value on cultivating a warm, authentic, and psychologically safe therapeutic relationship as an agent for positive change.
Leroy offers individual counselling to adults, adolescents, and children and facilitates BPsych’s ‘Connect Project’ Youth Program through the Mona Vale clinic. He has significant experience working with youth, having co-created the suicide prevention peer support program ‘Open Up’ in 2017 alongside Northern Beaches-based charity One Eighty Inc. He also welcomes opportunities to share the power of mindfulness practice with clients who request it, having benefited from the profound degree of psychological freedom it affords directly. He has been a daily mindfulness practitioner since 2018 and completed six ten-day silent meditation courses.
