Nicole is a committed provisional psychologist with a background in various clinical settings. Holding an bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she brings together her academic learning and hands-on experience in Hospital Psychology, focusing in oncology, palliative care, and psychiatric care.

 

One of Nicole’s standout experiences was her involvement in a research project focused on Social Inclusion for individuals with severe intellectual disabilities. This project resulted in the publication of her thesis, which delves into the relationship between disability studies, gender studies and the importance of advocacy and interdependence.

 

 

Nicole approaches therapy with a deep empathy, she believes in the power of genuine connections and sees therapy as a journey of self-discovery towards a more authentic living. She offers evidence-based techniques and is also trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST).

 

Nicole is particularly passionate about helping clients facing life transitions, caregivers of individuals with severe intellectual disabilities, domestic violence, bereavement, trauma and immigrants navigating new beginnings.
