Angelica Bilibio
Clinical Psychologist & Couples Therapist

Location: Mona Vale Telehealth - Video Consultation

Angelica is a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years of experience in couples therapy and trauma treatment. Her aim is to foster both individual and relational healing. As an integral psychotherapist her holistic method integrates all systems within a person, drawing from approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Schema, Gestalt, Emotionally-Focused (EFT) and Transactional Analysis (TA).

As a certified couples therapist from the leading experts in the field of psychological trauma, relationships, intimacy and adult attachment, Angelica brings a sound perspective to relationship counselling. She uses powerful relationship therapy models to heal, improve and help couples overcome the universal challenges of modern relationships.  She has guided hundreds of couples through challenges like emotional distance, intimacy, infidelity, conflict, neurodiversity, and cross-cultural dynamics. Her empowering approach to sexuality is based on sexual equity, promoting healthy sexuality where both partners find shared pleasure and connection.

With extensive training under renowned experts such as Esther Perel, Terry Real, Sue Johnson, Richard Schwartz, Peter Levine, and Gabor Maté, Angelica brings a deeply informed perspective to her work. She combines trauma-focused interventions with a caring, empathic approach, helping individuals to process physiologically and relationally in the present moment to create healing in their lives. She believes that deep therapist-client work, coupled with interpersonal exploration is at the core of transformative healing.

Angelica’s recent supervisors include Janina Fisher and Martha Kaupi, further enhancing her expertise in trauma and relational dynamics.

In addition to her clinical work, Angelica has worked in the public sector and tertiary education. Currently, she divides her time between her private practice, supervising provisionally registered psychologists, facilitating couples workshops and collaborating with community organisations to improve mental health outcomes.

As the founder and of the directors of Bilibio Psychology, Angelica is frequently contacted for media commentary. For her most recent interviews and published articles please see below.

As a wife and mother of two children, Angelica and her husband prioritise family, self care, and time spent with nature and friends.
